Aurelia

It's been a busy week!  I've had company and was working on this! I was asked to make another word book!  I think they are so much fun to make! I love this paper, although I found this paper challenging cause it was for a baby girl and the paper seemed very grown up!

The 4 pictures on this page are for 3, 6, 9, and 12 month photos! I decided to put little "note" tags behind the photos so that milestones and other memories for the respective months could be written!

I really liked how the vines worked with Baby accessories!

Easter 2010 -SOUS-

I loved this sketch that was chosen by the DT of SOUS this week!

I know it's not as exciting to see the layouts without pictures but I wanted to get my Easter layouts for the boys albums done ahead of time.  I'm getting ready to have a bunch of company so glad that this one got done ahead of time! I love the muted colors of the paper, reminds me of spring which right now is great since we are still getting snow..crazy weather! If you'd like the SVG file for the bunny holding the easter egg, leave me a comment!

Friends

I was asked to make a word book for a Birthday Gift!  I don't often get to do a lot of things for girls as I have two boys so this was fun with flowers and butterflies!

Hop on the Easter Egg-Spress!

This is my take on this weeks Stuck on You Sketch!  We were to use patterned paper that was a bit out of our comfort zone!  SO...here we are!  Pinks, reds, and oranges for my little guy, although I did throw in some blues and greens for good measure! Now I just need pictures! Thanks for looking! The E2 on the train stands for Easter Eggspress!

Magnetic Word Book

I saw this idea on Lisa's blog: http://bugjunkie.blogspot.com/ for the magnetic hiding spots that she puts in her shape albums!  I worked the idea into a word book!  The book is for one of my god daughters, Halle, she loves princesses and dance and all things girlie!  I worked in some tags for extra photos and/or journaling.  Ballet bear is from The paper peicing beehive: http://thepaperpiecingbeehive.blogspot.com/ My friend so graciously cut me the tutu outfit which is also from paper piecing beehive as I didn't have it. The fairy bear is from Little Scraps of Heaven designs (link on the right hand side).  Thanks for looking!

I punched little magnets with a heart shaped punch and left the spots blank so that Halle can journal or doodle!

Most of this book was done in MTC and SCAL.

Peek-A-Boo Bears (5 months)

Here's my version of the Stuck on you Sketch!  We were to add some "bling" to it.  I know it's hard to see but I accented the sun with Pearlized accent ink and used metallc glittery pens on the bears and the log!  This is my son's 5 month pictures. It's sort of a teddy bears picnic theme with bears playing peek-a-boo because he started to think it was a fun game!

Newborn Prince

This is my latest take on the sketch over at Stuck on You Sketches this week!  These pictures are of my youngest at 3 months old.  My 4 year named him the "Newborn Prince" before he was born and still sometimes calls him it...I have no idea why.  He also refers to himself as a Prince!  I love the expression my little guy has on the first page!

Paper is from Teresa Collins "Tres Chic Bebe"
I used Smooch pearlized ink accents on all the yellow paper to give it a more "regal" look (don't know if I accomplished that though!)
The edges of the background paper were distressed with the edge of my scissors and inked
I found these little jewels that I thought went well with the paper: crown (although you can't see it, there are similar crowns on some of the paper), teddy bear, and the "made with love" plaque!
